Airmech - Survival for Noobs part 2
Airmech - Survival for Noobs part 2
AirMech - Survival Mode, Survival Map, SoloAs before, the only unit I use that isn't available from the start is the Necro found in the shop for 3,000 Kudos.
Credit in part goes to Tamil who showed off a similar strategy during a live Twitch feed.
This video isn't as clear-cut as the Spiral video, so here are some notes you might want:
00:00 Wave 1
After building and setting down the T45's, shoot out the fences on the left. This gives turrets line of sight and start shooting down enemies sooner.
5:15 Wave 4
I start placing T45's in the corners in preparation for a future wave when SAM's and Brutes start heading to the fort. When they are placed, go ahead and shoot out the fences there, too.
9:00 Wave 6
Pretty soon, you won't be getting any more usable upkeep. Go ahead and start stock piling Necros to use later. As Wave 7 starts, build as many Necros as upkeep will allow.
12:55 Wave 7
At the end of Wave 7, Gemini Goliaths enter the scene. As they are destroyed, resurrect as many of them as you can using the Necros. Then pick them up and place them within reach of repair (facing outward. Armor is weaker in the rear of tanks).
15:10 Wave 8
Keep an eye out for Goliaths after the halfway point in Wave 8. Resurrect as many as you can using the Necros. As you can see, I miss a couple of them. Not to worry, it won't be the end of the world. Though if you manage to snag a few of them Wave 9 will go much smoother.
18:05 Wave 9
Again, watch for Goliaths and try to resurrect them if you're able. As before, bring them within range of repair and facing out.
18:25 Wave 9
The end of Wave 9 sends in the big guns, Devastators. I kinda freaked out a little, but the idea here is to make sure your own heavy firepower is within range of them. Assist in taking them down, but don't get blasted in the process.
